When Business & Beauty Collide

I will be the most transparent photographer when it comes to evaluating my work and what I see through my lens. A couple of weeks ago, this beauty and I met and we took two-three-maybe even four hands full of images for her headshots...and when I was culling and editing, I found myself not feeling what I was seeing. It didn't match who she is and what she was going for. I hesitated and kept on looking at them, adjusting settings, revamping my editing style & to no avail did my heart speak to my brain..She inquired with me where I was with the editing and I told her..."It's not you, it's me." Literally - This woman is a beautiful soul, with the most incredible heart, drive that could move mountains into different time zones, and I didn't capture her magnitude.
I felt sad that I didn't and offered to please retake her images. She shared with me why she felt it was her vibe and I will attest - I feel it was still me. So, we met up again and we took these stunning images of this powerhouse of a business minded female. NOW - THESE speak to my heart and my brain and I feel that I've delivered to her, who she is through the lens. She is going places, has a willingness to learn new things, expand on every level possible and her potential far exceeds the waters she's navigating currently. Ms. Julia, thank you for trusting in me...thank you for speaking my language & I do hope that these images equally speak to your heart & your brain...and they work for that beautiful website that you needed them for.
