When the seasons change, so do the moods of the lovely and adorable people we know and have yet to meet. Some of the best reasons to hold a job such as photographer is that you meet so many people and spend time with those you care about during meaningful and eventful moments in their lives. It's what the ever evolving structure in the definition of "family" is to me...It's in the celebration of engagements and secret elopements..or a new baby on the way. It's the arrival of "you gotta meet the baby" (said in my best Seinfeld impersonation!). It's siblings and the intricacies of what it means to grow up together and have a history that long outlives that of a spouse or significant other; those inside jokes that last longer than one's lifespan alone. It's how you nestle into your loved one early on in your relationship all the way up to when you're so comfortable with one another your love language is now a different definition of 'comfort' and all too often we take one another for granted - But, with me and my camera..I may push the envelope in a way during our session...that brings you right back to those neck nestles.

Photography is an art form that speaks to every single person. It often isn't something we invest in, or even think of as an investment. In all reality, it is. When we come face to face with life in a different way and we're searching for the photographs of someone close to us who's become ill and is in a battle of sorts, or even worse we lose them and for the life of us we cannot find 'that photo!'. Why? Too many times we won't take the photo because we're 'too fat' or say 'I don't look good today', or we will 'do it next time.' Friends and Framily - I'm here to tell you that you're absolutely perfect in each and every direction that I see you. I haven't met an ugly person yet. Your beauty escapes you in these days, but I can find it. I listen to the way you see yourself and absolutely love to remind you gently that what I see is something completely opposite. I see what makes your heart beat. I see your kindness to others. I see the smile that graces the curvature of your lips as you speak about someone or something you adore so much it hurts. I watch your eyes tell a story before it escapes your mouth. I watch your body language as you move closer in that comfort I spoke of earlier, to your loved one. When you speak about something or someone who's hurt you, is see that too. I really see the real you pull even closer when you speak about something or someone who you LOVE or that LOVES YOU!.

You are a treasure - a true warrior on this earth. To each of us fighting a battle - you're not alone. You're surrounded by trees, birds, butterflies, and so many creatures that will replenish your soul and feed your spirit if you let them. Feel that breeze or the warmth of the sun, it's bigger than you and is willing to wrap you up and replenish your being. There are people that pass you by at the Post Office or even at the grocery store and they mirror your same strengths and weaknesses - and a simple 'hello' can change the space you're in and theirs!...Remember to feel your way through this lifetime. It's a mere blink...It's a gift...Be gracious...Love out loud...Live boldly...Seek danger and adventure...and never underestimate the power of a snippet of time, captured thru my lens and the power it will hold.

I'm seriously one fortunate woman to spend these times with you...I rarely leave without a tear or two, if you know me - and if you haven't seen it - Know that when I hear a song we played during our session, or pass by a special place we took your photographs, or when I see your amazing people you love somewhere in this life of ours...YOU make ME smile. YOU bring ME joy. YOU are sunshine and rain to me...You are heard and seen for the beauty you are. Thank you for trusting in me, and asking me to be your photographer - I'm blessed, I feel it.
