Finding the words to sum up this small business is going to be difficult. Owner-Operator, Dale Hoskins is someone who has a go-getter approach, that has paid off in the short scheme of things. But, it's his sense of humor, determination to do the right thing, and his genuine willingness to help others I believe will bring great success and growth for his company and his future in this industry. I don't believe he'll stay 'small' for long. He's well on his way up, as there's been nothing but admirable praises from the customers that I've been in contact with and from what I've read in his online presence.
In my opinion it's in the simplest of approaches in how he runs his buisness with integrity, honesty, and in such a thorough fashion makes his company a no-brainer decision in choice of Pest Control., both on the homefront and/or at your business location. The customer response after a home or business service, tell a story all of their own., from as simple as an inquiry, to service call, to regularly scheduled prevention, Heritage Pest has stood above the rest. (Take a look at his customer reviews on google).! I think a strong component of his business plan is that he takes his customers needs, location/area, & pest problems into consideration and makes an individualized plan from there. It's that personalized touch that brings his service up a level.
When asked why he started his business, he modestly answered that it was in an effort to provide opportunity for his family. Admirable as a stand alone statement. These collaborative sessions have been a journey for me as a photographer, and Heritage Pest was no different. How was I going to capture all that this small buisness does? What they represent? Who is the face of the company? When do people need them, and why? It sure didn't take long to figure out that once he expressed his 'reason why,' it all made perfect sense, this guy's just like my neighbor, my friend, my family...He's like you and he's like me, and his story is not much different from the next small business. He puts everything he's got into what he and his employees do for his clientele. Refreshing that he's putting in the work, staying positive, making a difference, and keeping his footing. It says a lot about who he is as a business owner, husband, father, son, friend, and neighbor.
Fun things I learned during this collaboration is that Dale may or may not have a collection of insects he's had to identify, and knows quite a bit about crawly things and bugs that most don't want around...which makes him an asset to his job. He likes a Hawaiian vacation, to camp and go to Disneyland. His quick, short statement was that he "likes to let loose in realistic places, not too far from home." His devotion to his family is first and foremost, so it made perfect sense the locations he chose of where to go during vacation. "Having good values," was a phrase he said that stood out to me. You guys know me, I love good values!!
Services that I never thought of before that Heritage Pest provides include but are not limited to the following:
- bed bug treatment
- cockroach clean-outs
- flea and tick treatments
- rodent and bird inspections, treatments, repairs & exclusions services
- wildlife trapping licensing offering humanely trap & remove nuisance wildlife
- pest inspections (aka: termite inspections or WDO inspections)
- above inspection includes: inspection and treatment of wood destroying organisms such as termites, fungus, wood boring beetles, etc.
Now, if the above doesn't make you think twice or thrice above giving Heritage Pest a call, if not for preventative reasons only I don't know what to say. It's the combination of the multitude of services they offer and the down & dirty transparancy of owner/operator, Dale Hoskins that made me switch over to use them myself. My first service was after observing Dale and Dylan work together, the details while talking to one another through the service they provided to both locations. I loved how they bounced information they both saw that needed attention and what the best approach would be. I found that to be respectful of one another, and it was admirable of them both.
