Congratulations to all the new Marines; the term "congratulations" feels inadequate to express my pride in your achievements. Our family eagerly anticipates learning about the remarkable individuals you have evolved into, embodying the values of honor, courage, and commitment instilled in you over your training.
My heartfelt gratitude extends to the Drill Instructors (DIs) for guiding these young men and women to the pinnacle of the Reaper, symbolized when they received their eagle, globe, and anchor. Your unwavering leadership has been instrumental in their journey to this significant milestone and far beyond. I extend my appreciation to your families for their unwavering dedication and sacrifices. Often unacknowledged, they too sacrifice time with their loved ones to see ours transform into Marines.
The pride I feel transcends mere words. As you each start your day, may the embrace of loved ones surround you. Our small community in Northern California joyously commemorates the induction of our newest Marine. His imminent delivery of his Valedictorian speech at the forthcoming High School event seems almost understated given the vast experiences and accomplishments he has amassed. Witnessing his growth and absorbing the wisdom garnered from his Marine Corps journey is undeniably awe-inspiring. It is my wish that he shares this profound transformation with the same peers he parted ways with in February, embarking on his journey to become a United States Marine.
